Quite explicitly a survey for Americans (U.S. Americans) but it's interesting to note you also affiliate with "politically active Christians".

I didn't complete the little web poll on the side, the one that asked "What should be Governor Sarah Palin's next step?"
The four alternatives they gave me were unsuitable for what I think she should do.

Participation in the survey implies acknowledgment of being a politically active Christian. Unless the ends justify the means of course. (Good one on Sarah Palin's next move!) |

My answers, for whatever they're worth:
Banning embryonic stem cell research (which destroys a human embryo).: Strongly Disagree Do you support the expansion of adult stem cell research or umbilical cord stem cells?: Yes Do you support elimination of all public funding of abortions (such as through government health benefits)?: No Should criminals be held liable for harm they cause to unborn children? Yes Do you support a constitutional amendment to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman?: No Do you think homosexual couples should be legally allowed to adopt children?: Undecided Do you favor allowing the Ten Commandments on public property, such as court houses?: Yes Do you support the appointment of judges that will strictly interpret the Constitution and not "make law"?: Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes, such as first degree murder and terrorism? Yes Do you support any further restrictions on the right to keep and bear arms?: Yes, in the US. No, in Canada (given that we don't have a "right" to bear arms) Should Congress grant amnesty to illegal aliens living in our country?: Undecided (referring again specifically to the issue in the US). Granting illegal aliens access to government-funded services: Somewhat Agree Do you support making President Bush's 2001 tax cuts permanent? : No Do you support passage of a constitutional amendment requiring a balanced federal budget?: No What sort of federal tax reform do you favor?: A "flat rate" federal income tax (here or in the US) Should individuals be allowed to invest a portion of their Social Security tax in private retirement accounts?: Yes Given that so much of our oil comes from the Middle East, do you think that this negatively impacts our country's national security?: Yes Do you believe that Congress should pass legislation promoting renewable and alternative energy sources to reduce our dependency on fossil fuels?: No Do you agree or disagree that pollution from burning oil and coal can help cause climate change?: Undecided Do you think we can improve our environment and strengthen our economy at the same time by investing in clean, renewable energy technologies that create jobs while reducing pollution?: No Do you agree or disagree that we have a Biblical mandate to care for God's creation and to protect our children's future by curbing pollution that may alter our climate?: Strongly Disagree Do you agree or disagree that the U.S. should be a world leader in addressing climate issues and reduce its emissions of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide?:Somewhat Disagree |
